Boards

There are three different types of Snowboards available on the market today. Each style is unique in its construction, materials, shape, flex pattern, and size. The type of Snowboard you ride should correspond to your particular style of sport.

  • Freeride or All-Mountain Board is the most popular styles of snowboard.  This type of board is designed to float well in powder.  You can enjoy carving, catching air, and basically all aspects of riding with this type of snowboard.

Freeride Snowboards are usually flexible and maneuverable enough for beginners, but stiff enough to hold a fast turn in hard snow.

  • Freestyle Snowboards are wider, more stable, and more forgiving to ride.  They’re also shorter, lighter and softer in flex, which makes them easier to turn and control on bumps.  These characteristics make freestyle boards very responsive to the rider.  Consequently, it may be the best choice for the beginning rider.
